Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what Servavo collects, why we collect it, who helps process it, and the choices users may have.
Last updated: May 11, 2026
1. Information we collect
For vendor owners, Servavo may collect account information such as name, email address, authentication identifiers, business name, public menu URL, phone number, address, social links, menu details, item photos, tax settings, estimated wait times, subscription status, Stripe connected-account status, and support or admin activity.
For guest customers, Servavo may collect the name entered for pickup, optional email address for receipts, cart items, item notes, topping choices, order number, pickup code, order status, payment status, and device/session identifiers used to show order status on the same device.
2. Payment information
Servavo does not store full credit card numbers. Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment card, bank, identity, tax, fraud prevention, and compliance information under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Servavo stores payment-related records such as Stripe customer IDs, checkout session IDs, payment status, connected account IDs, subscription IDs, totals, and webhook event records.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide owner accounts, billing access, Stripe Connect onboarding, public menus, cart and checkout flows, live order queues, order status screens, QR code links, reports, archived order history, fraud and abuse prevention, customer support, accounting, dispute handling, and service security.
4. Service providers
Servavo uses third-party providers to operate the service, including Clerk for owner authentication, Convex for database, realtime functions, file storage, and backend logic, Stripe for payments and connected payouts, Vercel for hosting, and GitHub or development tools for code and deployment workflows. These providers process data only as needed to support the service.
5. Vendor and customer visibility
Vendor owners can see order details needed to prepare and fulfill customer orders, including customer pickup name, optional email, items, item notes, totals, payment status, and order status. Customers can see their own order status on the device/session used to order. Vendors should only use customer information to fulfill orders, support customers, handle receipts, and resolve disputes.
6. Cookies and local storage
Servavo, Clerk, Stripe, Convex, and hosting providers may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies for login, security, checkout, cart recovery, order status, fraud prevention, and service operation. Servavo does not currently use these technologies for third-party advertising.
7. Data retention
Servavo keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business and financial records, support order history, satisfy accounting or legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and improve reliability. Some records may be anonymized or retained in limited form for accounting, security, or dispute purposes.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including server-side payment confirmation, webhook signature checks, owner access controls, account authentication, and third-party providers built for secure operations. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.
9. Your choices
Vendor owners can update business and menu information in the dashboard. Customers can choose not to provide an optional email, though that may limit receipt or follow-up options. Users may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help, subject to identity verification and legal or accounting limits.
10. California and other privacy laws
Some privacy laws provide rights to access, delete, correct, or limit certain uses of personal information. Some laws apply only when a business meets specific thresholds. Servavo does not sell personal information for money. If you believe a privacy law gives you specific rights, contact us and we will review the request.
11. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to support@servavo.com. Replace this contact email with your official support or privacy email before public launch.
